Being in good shape changes everything

Dancing for a little while at a party and feeling sore the next day or going for a hike and feeling exhausted instead of energized is not normal. My physical condition kept me from encouraging my children to become more active. As an active pperson, I was doing yoga, taking walks, and going on bike rides, but I wasn’t in shape.
I wanted the right tools to get in shape and be able to enjoy running, for example. I wanted to be driven and be the one to say “I love running!” I wanted to experience what it’s like to be hungry for more, and prove myself that I could enjoy running and live a full life!
Well, after 8 intense months in the gym, I took part in two events where I ran 5 km circuits. I reached my objectives. Wow! As a bonus, my body is now toned. I used to say I had no arm strength, but now I use all of my muscles to lift heavy things. A year and a half after I started to exercise, I can say that I am finally in shape.
Being in shape gave me confidence. It changed my relationships with my friends and family. I now see life from a different perspective. As for my self-esteem, I no longer have any doubts, and I also realized that I am more obstinate than I gave myself credit for. I am now a disciplined and strong-willed woman. All of this enabled me to inspire my daugther and help her improve her performance. We now go to the gym together!
