keep fit

Just like your advent calendar, here are 24 tips to keep fit despite the whirlwind of this twelfth month of the year!

- Plan your December training: decide in advance your training days and put them on the calendar. planing

- Keep in touch: Make an appointment with your personal trainer in early December, he will give you concrete tips to stay on track during the holidays.

- Try a new class each week until the holidays: Find out the timetable of your local gym!

- Set a goal for December: Maintain your gains? Lose some weight before the holidays? Keep fit? By setting a goal, you will be more inclined to make effort to reach it. Take advantage of the exceptional discount on the TRANSFORM program.

- Get out of the shops, get some fresh air: Go outside for a few hours at least once a weekend before Christmas to play with your children, take a walk or go sledding … the already fallen snow allows you to enjoy winter sports earlier!

- Connect: Feeling pressed for time? Check out the online training platforms, including ULTIME FIT which offers a free 7-day trial and a free subscription for Nautilus Plus members!

- Train in the morning: so you can go about your business guilt free and better yet, with more energy.

- Your gym bag should always be ready: Who knows, you may be able to slip in a workout between your shopping and a family dinner.

- Keep track of your workouts: download the Nautilus Plus mobile app to track your workouts: a sure source of motivation!

- Get active while dancing: Wiggle those hips while burning lots of calories in your living room or in a Zumba class! Check the Zumba class schedule for your nearest gym.

- Plan your “pre-holiday” health menu: At the very least, make sure you eat well before the holidays and plan your meals to fill up on nutritious food.

- Train effectively: Do effective workouts while you train. Need help putting together a suitable program? Make an appointment with one of our professionals.

- Accumulate steps and use the stairs: every day in December, aim for 10,000 steps and choose the stairs as much as possible.

- Take advantage of the Zero Diet Advent Calendar by getting healthy frozen dishes for when time is running out.

- Stay zen with yoga: Reduce your stress level by integrating relaxation activities such as yoga and meditation. Try the Zen Fusion Fit class: Aaaooom!

- Train with a friend: take advantage of one-day passes and give them as a gift to a friend – and be their plus one!

- Organize outdoor activities during your get-togethers: hockey game, skating, sledding, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing … the fondue will taste better afterwards!

- Gather with healthy recipes: Get inspired by Zero Diet recipes for your meals and desserts and impress your guests!

- Sleep well: avoid screens before bedtime and aim for 7 to 9 hours per night.

- Integrate muscle toning into your workouts: Prepare your body for shoveling and shopping and maintain your gains!

- Don’t forget your dosage of vitamin D: the sun can be rare. Don’t deprive yourself of this essential vitamin that contributes to your immune system!

- Stay hydrated every day: drink water, morning, noon and evening.

- Make a special day “preparing snacks” with your children (muffins, healthy cookies, fruit salads, etc.)

- Still enjoy the holiday season, allow yourself treats and remember that health is celebrated by the actions you take daily, … even during the holidays!
