Designed for developing athletes, active gym members, and sports teams, it combines human expertise with cutting-edge technology. Our goal: to transform your efforts into visible, trackable, and lasting progress. Here, every session has a goal, and every goal has data to prove it’s been achieved.

Xavier Richard, M.S. in Kinesiology — (Nautilus Plus Laval)

Hi! My name is Xavier Richard, and I’m a kinesiologist specializing in athletic training and injury prevention. For the past five years, I’ve been turning ambitious goals into well-structured, effective training plans based on sports science. At Zone Haute Performance, my approach is simple yet rigorous: Customize → Prescribe → Validate.

I work with a wide range of athletes—including women’s college flag football, powerlifting, hockey, baseball, basketball, soccer, and tennis, half-marathon, marathon, and triathlon athletes—as well as active members of the general population, developing youth (ages 12–18), and teams seeking a structured, educational, and results-oriented environment. With a master’s degree in kinesiology and as a certified member of the Quebec Kinesiologists Federation, I stand out for my professionalism and my ability to turn your efforts into visible progress.

  • One-on-one coaching.

What specialized equipment is available?

The High-Performance Zone provides you with professional-grade measurement tools to turn every session into valuable data:

  • Linear Position Transducer- VBT (Velocity-Based Training)

The current gold standard for measuring barbell movement speed (squats, bench presses, rows).

→ Used to customize the load in real time, target a specific speed zone (maximum strength, strength-speed, speed-strength, speed), track fatigue, and standardize progress beyond a simple 1RM percentage.

  • Speed radar (sprints & changes of direction)

Ultra-precise timing over 5 to 40 meters, analysis of acceleration and top speed.

→ Used to develop linear speed, identify performance limitations (acceleration phase vs. maximum speed), and select the right exercises (short sprints, sled work, plyometrics, technique).

  • Power and jump tests – CMJ, SJ and Unipodal (Countermovement Jumps, Squat Jumps and Single-leg stance)

Measurement of power, explosiveness, and asymmetries.

→ Used to guide plyometrics, balance strength vs. speed, and prevent instability.
