Where to Begin?
Before being chosen as a participant for the I’m Taking Charge 1 challenge, I always postponed exercising. I thought that my nutrition was adequate and that I wasn’t so out of shape. I would rather make myself believe that doing more was out of my reach. EVERYTHING would take priority over eventually getting back in shape. Until the day I decided it was enough!
I don’t have enough time!
I often said that I didn’t have enough time. I was too busy to workout… although I have now traded more than 10 hours a week of television for training, walking, and group classes. If you think you don’t have enough time, read the article I don’t have enough time: a popular excuse not to exercise, and learn about tricks that will help you change your mind!
The eternal question: how much does it cost?
On the financial side, I stopped saying that I didn’t have the necessary money, that it was too expensive, and that it was not for me. Simply not buying a coffee each morning pays for my annual membership. In addition, by having a very good nutrition, my family has cut down a lot on the consumption and frequency of fast food. I was even able to stop using some medication, thanks to the beneficial effects. The amount I paid for these allows me to workout, eat well, and set appointments with my trainer when necessary.
Can I afford it?
I found interesting options to give myself the most precious gift of all, health! Nothing in the world would make me go back. And to say that I used to prefer taking a trip once a year even though I was overweight, and didn’t feel good about myself. I wanted to enjoy life! For a week at least…! Now, I’d rather feel good about myself, and being fit and healthy, knowing that I will be able to travel for many years to come!
If I had known all the benefits of exercising and eating healthy, I would have acted much sooner! When we want something, we find solutions! We make choices and find out that we can too.
And you, how could you do so?
