Top 10 Websites for Healthy Recipes

Not inspired by your cookbooks anymore? Let’s see what variety the Web has to offer. And let’s keep things healthy!

More and more people turn to the Web for recipes. Here are my findings for your three daily meals, complete with desserts. They all meet three essential criteria: variety, taste, and health!

Quick breakfasts!

Marilou, from Trois fois par jour, suggests 3 homemade gruel recipes that can be prepared in advance, divided in airtight bags, and quickly cooked any morning of the week. For more protein, I suggest you substitute the almond milk with vanilla soy milk!

And why not go for some healthy breakfast cookies? Created by the Heart and Stroke Foundation nutritionists, this recipe is a very good fit with a glass of milk and a fruit!

A new lunchbox!

You don’t know what to do with yesterday’s leftover chicken? Geneviève O’Gleman, nutritionist, is a master at the art of creating healthy lunches. Check out her grilled chicken orzo salad!

What could be better than a comforting soup during a winter day? On Ricardo’s website, you can find a delicious lentil and red pepper soup recipe. Time to use your thermos!

From the Dairy Farmers website, I suggest you try this crust-free feta and spinach omelette. With 125 ml of cooked rice, or a slice of whole-grain bread, this recipe becomes a complete meal that is easy to prepare and can be used as breakfast!

What about suppers??

And here is a recipe for a thick squash, eggplant, and tofu stew to introduce your family to vegetarian meals! Once again, thanks to Marilou, from Trois fois par jour!

Who said pizza can’t be healthy? To satisfy your sweet and salty craving, prepare this ham, figs, and goat cheese pizza, available on the website Coup de Pouce!

To jumpstart an evening, enjoy this cheese fondue, served with bread, potatoes, and fruits!  Once again, thanks to Geneviève O’Gleman!

Guilt-free treats!

To add some whole grain to your sweet desserts, enjoy this almond and cardamom rice pudding from the Heart and Stroke Foundation. You could even try it as a pre-workout snack!

As a final note, have you ever tried our famous sweet potato brownies? Definitely one of my favourite desserts! You can even freeze them for long-term storage!

If you haven’t already done so, I invite you to find out about Sophie Blais’ recipes on this blog. They have all been approved by our nutritionists, and they are absolutely delicious!

And you, what are your favourite websites for healthy recipes?
