The Pyramid of Objectives

March 31, 2017 - By Nautilus Plus

Temps de lecture 2 minutes

With spring just around the corner, it’s time to reassess the objectives you set at the beginning of the year, or even set new goals.

Given that we eat at least three meals a day and how this affects many parts of our lives, it’s important to review your objectives and make sure stay on track. Today, I am presenting you a very handy tool to help you meet your objectives: the pyramid of objectives.

Because some nutritional objectives may seem daunting at first, for example, not eating meat or losing 30 pounds, it’s important to realize that such big changes are made one step at a time. This is exactly the purpose of the pyramid of objectives.

Regardless of your long-term objective, you can break it down into smaller goals that will be easier to accomplish and motivate you. Drafting a clear action plan will make it possible to meet your objectives without even noticing the effort you’re putting into this project.

Before making significant changes to your eating habits, you should meet with a nutrition professional to ensure that your approach is healthy. I encourage you to contact your local Nautilus Plus centre to make an appointment.

I was introduced to this tool by our intern Eva Lalonde, who is now working as a nutritionist at our Lasalle centre.
