Pour soulager cet inconfort, certains vont \u00e9tirer les muscles atteints, prendre un bain chaud ou encore, se faire masser.<\/p>\n<p>Une \u00e9tude publi\u00e9e dans le <i>Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research<\/i> a compar\u00e9 les effets du massage par rapport \u00e0 l\u2019ex\u00e9cution d\u2019exercices dynamiques pour diminuer la sensation de courbatures musculaires. Les r\u00e9sultats d\u00e9voilent que faire des exercices constitue une alternative aussi efficace que le massage pour diminuer la sensation de courbatures. En d\u2019autres mots, plut\u00f4t que de d\u00e9penser pour un massage la prochaine fois que vous ressentirez des muscles endoloris, optez pour une s\u00e9ance d\u2019entra\u00eenement!<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Est-ce l\u2019acide lactique qui cause les courbatures?<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Premi\u00e8rement, nous devrions parler de lactate sanguin plut\u00f4t que d\u2019acide lactique. D\u2019autre part, aucun lien de cause \u00e0 effet n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tabli entre la production de lactate sanguin et l\u2019apparition de courbatures musculaires. La preuve, il est possible d\u2019\u00eatre courbatur\u00e9 suite \u00e0 un nouvel exercice cardiovasculaire, comme la course \u00e0 pied o\u00f9 il n\u2019y a pas de production de lactate sanguin. L\u2019acide lactique (lactate) a longtemps \u00e9t\u00e9 consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme un d\u00e9chet m\u00e9tabolique (produit lors d\u2019une activit\u00e9 physique intense), mais il n\u2019en est rien. Au contraire, le lactate est transport\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur des mitochondries musculaires, ces petites \u00ab usines \u00bb servant \u00e0 fabriquer de l\u2019\u00e9nergie dans les muscles, pour \u00eatre oxyd\u00e9 et ensuite produire de l\u2019\u00e9nergie. Le lactate est \u00e9galement converti en glycog\u00e8ne (sucre stock\u00e9 dans le muscle), ou encore transport\u00e9 vers le foie afin de former \u00e0 nouveau du glucose.<\/p>\n<p>Bref, les courbatures ressenties suite \u00e0 un exercice proviendraient plut\u00f4t de l\u2019inflammation due aux micro-d\u00e9chirures des fibres musculaires et des tissus environnants. Bien que la science n\u2019ait pas encore bien saisi le fonctionnement exact des courbatures musculaires, elles sont une r\u00e9action normale suite \u00e0 un effort physique plus intense qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019habitude et font partie du processus normal d\u2019adaptation physiologique qui m\u00e8ne \u00e0 une meilleure condition physique.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">3 rem\u00e8des pour soulager les courbatures :<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>1. Manger sainement, en misant particuli\u00e8rement sur l\u2019alimentation post-exercice;<\/p>\n<p>2. Faire de l\u2019exercice physique;<\/p>\n<p>3.
