Fitness and lifestyle appraisal - basic This basic fitness appraisal is the first step towards a healthier lifestyle. Firstly, we determine if you are fit to undertake an exercise program or if a medical examination is required. The basic lifestyle appraisal looks at your dietary habits and evaluates other lifestyle habits which may affect your health and reaching the goals you have set (smoking, alcohol intake and physical activity). The basic fitness appraisal is made up of a series of tests. It evaluates your aerobic capacity, your strength, flexibility and endurance. It also measures your resting heart rate, blood pressure, body fat percentage, body weight and lung capacity. We will give you a summary at the end of the appraisal. You will also get the chance to discuss the results in a one to one consultation with a trained member of our team. Finally, you will start your exercise program in a safe and effective manner. A subsequent appraisal will be required in order to track your progress and fine-tune your program if need be. |
